Item D1 - Modeler’s—Pattern Maker’s Double Rabbeting Shave
A unique tool in my experience, this little rabbeting shave has
a brass body—surely made by the same pattern maker that produced several other
shaves listed below. The tool has two 7/8” wide blades, mounted side by side
with open right and left sides, respectively. The tool has a flat sole that is
1 inch deep, and allows cutting of both right and left hand rabbets. It looks
to be a wonderful tool for makers of models, instrument makers, and pattern
makers. It is in Fine Condition.
