The wooden body of this spoke shave is made of a fine grain dark wood, in the “drooping end” form of older English shave. It has a wing span of a little over 12 inches. The steel blade has an edge length of 2 ˝ inches, with a thick back and is seated against a brass sole. The blade is nearly horizontal and is adjusted up and down with two small screws on top of the body. The blade is shiny and quite sharp. It can be adjusted to make the finest of shavings from the toughest of woods. It is an excellent shave of the razor edge type Fine.
