Wooden Spoke Shave. 3 1/2 inch Blade
Not made from beech, like most of the English shaves that you see, this one is
almost certainly American and could be made from either yellow birch or a
mahogany. It is a tang type shave with a 3 1/2 inch blade that has a
shallow sweep. The sole has a nicely inset brass wear plate. There
is a little chipping around the base of the tangs, but this does no harm.
The blade needs some flattening and a honing, but this will be a real nice user
shave. The total wingspan is 11 3/4 inches. Easily Good.
