This ornate cast iron hand drill stands 12 inches tall and has a gear wheel that is 3 ½ in diameter. It is iin the form of the Whitney patent drill, and similar to, but larger than the No. 4 Millers Falls jeweler's drill. Like the Whitney, the rim of the gear wheel is decorated with red paint and the base of the handlehas gold pin striping. The chuck is a three-jaw one with a knurled brass shell and will take a drill bit up to ¼ inch diameter. It is a great looking tool. Fine.
