29 & 30
This pair of 1”-2” thread micrometers represent the two styles made by
Slocomb. The No 29C is used primarily to make taps as the same diameter of
another tap or screw, or to cut screw threads in a lathe to fit a particular
nut. The No. 30C is designed to measure accurately screw threads. Both of
these scarce micrometers are in the seldom found 1” – 2” size. Both have lost
most of the original black frame finish, but are only lightly tarnished, have no
rust or pitting, and work smoothly. Good+
