Item NA25 - Classic Ebony & Brass Navigator’s Parallel Rule.
A basic rule for boat navigation, these are used to “walk” across a navigational
chart in order to transfer a calculated course line to the chart’s compass rose
in order to get the desired compass heading. This one has the traditional ebony
legs with brass struts and finger studs. The legs have beveled edges. At 12
inches long, this is satisfactory for using on a modest size vessel, not a three
masted sailing ship. Fine
