Item P12 - Stanley No. 6 Fore Plane. Type 11 (1910-18).
A great size to use for jointing or general use on tough woods. This plane
has plenty of weight to power through the tough stuff. This example has the
three patent body, low knob, and small blade adjusting wheel of its type. The
blade, however, is an older one, with the 1892 patent date, but it is long and
clean. Better than 84 percent of the original japanning is in the bed (most
that is missing is from the inside of the side walls). The rosewood handles
include a nice knob and a tote that has some flakes missing from its very top.
It needs just a light cleaning to put it to work. Good=
