Item P12 - Stanley No. 5 ¼ Junior Jack
Plane.
Marketed originally when it was introduced (1921) as a plane for school
use, the No. 5 1/4 is popular in its own right as a nice size plane for smaller
jobs. This example was made during the ‘30s and has a long rectangular logo
blade. The rosewood handles have no cracks or chips, but could use some help
with the finish. Nearly all of the japanned finishes are present, while some
of the nickel is worn from the lever cap. It will be a great user for the lad,
lady, or even the old man! Good+
