Item P23 - Sargent No. 42 Scraper Plane.
Sargent’s version of the Stanley No. 12 scraper plane is found much less
often than the Stanley version. This uncommon scraper was made between 1910 and
1943. This one was probably made early in that period. The plane has better
than 95% of its original japanning, and no cracks or chips. The mahogany handle
is perfect. The 3 inch blade is unmarked, but is clean and sound. Both the
sole and the sides are without rust, pitting, cracks or chips. It is a nice
example for a collection or use. Easily Good+
