Item P27 - Stanley No. 141. Bull Nose Plow Plane.

Not often seen, this is the bull nose variant of Miller's patent patent plow plane (No. 41) that was made between 1887 and 1918. The version here, with the fancy filigree casting was produced before 1909. This was produced with a fillester bed (which is missing), and a separate bull nose attachment (which is also missing). There is a missing piece of rosewood from the upper part of the handle, and some pitting on both of the fence and (less) the body skate. All the proper depth stops, fence rods and screws, as well as the the slitter are present. It is marked with a Stanley patent date, May 18, 1886.  It is not a common plane. Good.
