Item P32 - Stanley No. 92 Cabinetmaker’s Rabbet Plane.
One of Stanley’s nicest shoulder planes, this one has a cutter ¾ inch wide
(the books say 1”), and has a sole about 5 ½ inches long. With its adjustable
mouth and screw adjust blade, it is capable of making wispy cuts on cross grain
wood. This example has lost 80 percent of its nickel, and has some light
scattered pitting on the sides, but the blade is long and proper, the sole is
clean and smooth, and the “made in USA” plane has a sweetheart mark on the toe
disk. This will be a great user, and is an increasingly tough plane to fine.
