This heavy smooth plane has most of its original finishes (both metal and wood) and is ready to sharpen and go to work. It is a “tweener” surely made right at the start of WWII. It has the brass, frog, nickel, and rosewood of the type 16 planes, but its later features include a missing frog adjustment screw, and thee heavier side castings of the next, WWII, type. It is a very nice plane. Fine.
