Item BP12 - Sargent No. 227 Double End Block Plane.
This
handy block plane, that can be used as a bullnose block, is Sargent’s emulation
of the Stanley No. 130. This one is clean and shiny, with nearly all of its
original finishes. There is no rust or pitting. The only apology is a small
lunate chip, about 3/16” behind the mouth. It will not affect use. The clean
and long blade carries the Sargent logo used from 1902-09, shortly after the
production of the plane began. Good+.
