Item P3 - Stanley No. 3 Smooth Plane. Type 15 (1931-32).
Made for a short period of time, the last of
the SW-marked planes are reasonably uncommon. They feature a bed with only
“Made in USA” , having eliminated the 1910 patent date. This example is true
and proper. It has handles without cracks or chips, and better than 80 percent
japanning in the bed. The nickel on the lever cap is freckled and worn, but the
blade is long and clean. Good+.
